The 2019 Spilman Symposium on Issues in Teaching Writing will be held on the campus of Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA, located approximately 90 minutes northeast of Blacksburg, on Saturday, February 9, 2019. The event features a distinguished lineup of presenters on this year’s theme, Discourse for Democracy: Teaching Writing and Rhetoric for Civic Life.
